For clients taking free bus service from ship to train station in Civitavecchia Port, arriving Rome by train and returning to Civitavecchia Port by train; about 50 minutes ride each way; about 10 Euros train tickets total per person (there is a train to Rome and back to Civitavecchia every 15/20 minutes).

We’ll start with the Vatican Museums, the biggest collection of artworks in the world, in which we will focus your attention on the famous Sistine Chapel and a few other highlights of the art collection.
We’ll then visit St. Peter’s Basilica, the world’s greatest Catholic church, and the wonderful St. Peter’s Square from which the Pope provides his public audiences.
We’ll then walk to the nearby St. Angel Castle, former Tomb of Emperor Hadrian, we’ll cross the Tiber River on an Ancient Roman bridge decorated with Baroque statues, and after a short walk along the Renaissance district we’ll get to Piazza Navona, with its beautiful baroque fountains by Bernini (time for a quick lunch in a typical restaurant).
Then visit to the Pantheon, the best conserved temple of ancient Rome; we’ll then walk the Capitoline Hill to see Piazza del Campidoglio designed by Michelangelo. Next stop will be the Roman Forum: the political and religious center of ancient Rome. Our last visit couldn’t be other than the Colosseum, most famous monument in Rome, where the gladiators fought to the death and exotic bests were hunted.

We are not going to give you a lecture – unless you want to – we will be informative but we won’t overdo with too many dates and names, we will make your visit fun with anecdotes and legends, you will have time to enjoy a typical local meal, a coffee or an ice cream: we know you are here on holiday and and your holiday is meant to be fun!
