With this tour you will visit the the Capitoline Museums, the most ancient public museum in the world, located on top of the Capitoline Hill housed in beautiful renaissance palaces designed by Michelangelo together with Piazza del Campidoglio that divides them (the museum complex is linked by an underground gallery), it houses a large collection, which includes ancient Roman statues, inscriptions, mosaics and other artifacts: among them the famous Lupa Capitolina (she-wolf with the twins), the colossal Head of Constantine and the imposing statue of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, which is the only bronze equestrian statue remaining intact from the ancient Roman time.
We will then visit the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, largest monument in Rome and one of its  famous landmarks, a masterpiece of Neoclassic art and architecture, built on top of the Capitol Hill providing some of the most beautiful view on downtown Rome. Our last stop will be in the Church of St. Maria in Aracoeli a great palimpsest of centuries of transformation in a single building.
