We will start our tour from the lively area of Campo De' Fiori, with its colorful open-market, well known for excellent Italian food and wine; we will proceed to the nearby Via dei Giubbonari that from old times has always been connected with trading and, in line with this tradition, is still today dotted with numerous clothes and underwear stores, boutiques and shoe shops, that offer many opportunity for shopping. Then we will reach the Jewish Ghetto district, situated between the foot of the Capitol Hill and the banks of the Tiber River. ''The Piazza''- as the Jewish quarter is familiarly known - is a point of reference for the Jewish community's cultural and emotional life, they gather here for both celebration and commemoration, to pass evenings together or to observe religious holidays. Rich in traces of Rome's long past, the area charm and intimate atmosphere is appreciated by Romans and visitors alike. Refined jewelry shops, Kosher restaurant and bistrot, religious article shops, traditional bakery's and Kosher products shops, will be our occasion for shopping and relaxation. Then we will walk on the ancient Ponte Fabricio to reach the Tiberina Island, shaped like a stone ship, the island was once clad and decorated with marble, of which some traces survive. The ancient Ponte Cestio, leads from the island to Trastevere, the neighborhood of Rome where is still today possible to trace elements of popular culture. Old bakery's, clothes and leather shops, traditional Italian food and wine shops, will be the last destination of our tour.
